The days coming to the actual date of the ride were daunting with thunderstorm weather. I knew I was going either way and had a couple different clothing selections picked out for the morning. Sunday came and I awoke to sun shining through my bedroom window. This was going to be a good day for a ride.
For some riders, breakfast at Kupro's was first on the list. Others started with java at Old Soul Coffee and waited for the crew to assemble.
An unofficial count of 70 something tweeders (not tweekers) showed up. I'm sure the count would've been much higher if the weather man didn't go on to predict a 70% chance of dumping buckets of water on anyone who stepped outside.......Oh well, those who came had fun.
We then headed to a group photo shoot at the Capitol and a loop around downtown/midtown to Temple Coffee & Revolution Wines (that Zin is damn good!).
We filled up on more coffee, wine, lunches, snacks, and good conversations. The third stop on our Tour De Tweed was the Shady Lady Saloon and finishing at Hot Italian.
Good times and wonderful people all around. The establishments were welcoming to our crowd and handled us with ease. Rickshaw Bag reps came from SF to sponsor and give away swag. Thanks again Rick & Erin Houston for putting this together. Looking forward to the next.
My wife took awesome pics! And yes, she'll probably be mad that I stole some so soon. She'll post much more on her site www.ripecompany.com (plug). The crapass pics are from my phone.
